Composting Vegetable Scraps 

• Just dump your scraps in the green or yellow cans. Don’t cover. We will cover at the end of each day to conserve leaves

• Don’t put anything in the gray cans. These are intended for leaves for covering.

• We will no longer be using paper to cover as it clumps too much in the process. Please recycle elsewhere.

• Please follow the yes / no guidelines for acceptable items as posted on a white metal sign located on the brick wall.

• Put one small brick on the lid when the yellow or green can is full.

• Do not leave paper grocery bags nor compostable plastic bags in the green or yellow cans. These do not break down in our system.

• Please do not put table scraps in the brick composting bins located behind the wall.
